My name is Dr. T. Nichole Phillips, founder and owner of HBCU Pride & Joy. My sister and I, both proud FAMU graduates, started this business in 2012 as a result of a conversation we had questioning the availability of cute FAMU apparel for babies and kids. After realizing that there was nothing out there that reflected our desire for cuteness and quality, we decided to embark on this venture.

Our mission is to be the premier provider of HBCU children's apparel and accessories. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality merchandise, stellar customer service, and a unique and seamless purchasing experience.

We support the community and culture by offering paid internships to students from local HBCUs. We also contribute to HBCUs by only selling licensed apparel. As such, you will be happy to know that every purchase made with us is a contribution to each respective HBCU.
